  1. Star Wars: The Force Awakens. J.J. Abrams directed this film, and he is the bravest man in doing so. With so many Star Wars fans out there, J.J. Abrams had to know that directing a new version of Star Wars was going to be a dangerous feat. The Force Awakens pacifies most Star Wars fans out there, and even creates new fans with its dynamic plot. Who doesn’t love a good showdown between good and evil in space? This film is mint, and the Force is strong with J.J. Abrams.

  1. Super 8: This film is filled with childhood nostalgia. It follows a group of boys in the 1980s through the making of a zombie film. The boys set out with a camera, bikes, and bad attitudes to make in independent film, but end up finding adventure. This film has a great Goonies feel to it and will bring you back to the honesty that J.J. Abram fans expect from him.

There are explosions, guns, cars, masks, and a tech team outside watching your every move. In this film, Ethan Hunt—epic international spy agent— is in love for real and the bad guys go after Ethan’s finance in order to get to him. It is a typical fair prince saves fair maiden tale, but DON’T WE LOVE THOSE? J.J. Abrams makes this film amazing. He takes you around the globe in two hours, and certainly save it as well!

  1. Regarding Henry: This is an oldie, but a goodie. According to IMBD, J.J. Abrams wrote this film, but did not direct it. The script is so good, you can tell it is from JJ. Abrams himself. The story follows hotshot, money-maker Henry (played by a young Harrison Ford). Henry’s whole life changes when he wakes up with no memory of his life and the inability to speak. He has to recover regular adult capabilities while learning about himself, his family, and his past. There is not doubt, that you will be crying by the end.

  1. Star Trek. J.J. directed this film, and this one is a classic. J.J. Abrams intelligently gratified all the nerds of the world by paying homage to the original Star Trek There are references and inside jokes galore, but this film also invokes an audience that has never seen Star Trek before. Characters are developed well and the setting is introduced thoroughly, so if you do not know where the words, “Live Long and Prosper,” came from, this is the movie to see! It is beautiful, action packed, and nostalgic.

  1. Armageddon: J. Abrams co-wrote this screen play. Armageddon is a 1990s classic. The end of the world is near, and only a down to earth oil man (Bruce Willis) can save it. Civilians turn into astronauts and the result is hilarious, heart-warming, and tear-filled flick. This is character development at J.J. Abram’s finest. Be sure to check it out!
